in the heart of India, she sleeps on her bed
the ever so famous symbol of faith
one should bethink what great a story
now that lies here, where once love bloomed...

Oh, dear, Taj Mahal!!! It has such a romantic story... And how beautiful... I would really like to travel there...

You really captured it in its full glory, the purple-pink sky really accentuate its fragile beauty... (Hmm, this is a really feminine building with its pristine white...)

Oh. Taj Mahal is the tomb of a Lady. The Lord of that area loved his wife very much, and decided to build a beautiful tomb for her, so when she would die he could go there and remember their love. Unfortunately after his wife died another Lord came, defeated and imprisoned him, so he never could visit his wife's tomb, just sit in his palace-prison at the other side of the river and watch the Taj Mahal from the distance...
I think it's pretty sad and romantic ^_^

:blushes: heh, I saw it in a let's-travel-'round-the-world TV program, so there might be details which are not exactly the same but the general story is this :D
